It's been a busy week, but we've made it to the weekend. I see forecasts of rain and thunderstorms, but it sure looks pretty outside this afternoon to me. I'm only sorry I haven't had the opportunity to get out there with a camera in my hand, but I'm sure my friends smkybear and pilz8, both of whom won awards during our recent local photography contest, have possibly had a chance to get out so don't forget to check out their latest images. Not enough for you? Well, there are other active photographers in the local area with an eye on the Albemarle - try this one. That should keep you occupied for awhile...
As we move past this weekend, we have a number of local and photographic events coming up. I plan to be covering the Potato Festival next week and the May 24th horse show at Double T Farms. I might just crawl out of bed tomorrow morning and see what's happening and bring back some photos of the Downtown Beautification Day event (9 - 11am at the Virginia Dare Arcade, 507 East Main Street)
If you have a habit of not keeping up very well, you can always find most of what's happening locally at the Harbor of Hospitality Blog or the Elizabeth City Events Calendar, both of which are linked on the right under "Local Links". For those events that don't make it to those pages, well, there's always those little signs that pop up across the street from WalMart, huh? How about the list over at Things to Do in Elizabeth City - done all those? I know I haven't.
Anyway, keep The Harbor of Hospitality Blog bookmarked to keep up with all of the local events. It's your best stop to the latest, and most up-to-date information. And remember to check back here as we bring you some of the gorgeous beams of light we've captured across the Albemarle area. And if you need some special photographic work done, whether it be portraits for a special event, commercial work to highlight that special new product, or a full showcasing of your local business, we'll be happy to help you out. Take a look at some of our work, and if you like what you see, give us a call.
